Q & A Session with ID Coach Engineer Mike Stibilia

I first off want to thank ID Coach  engineer Mike Stibila taking time out to answer some questions that I had after I saw the article in the Miami Herald on the Coach ID.

Since the article debuted coaches from youth football to the UFL have lined up around the block filing training applications to for their practices, which should commence in a few short weeks.
Paul:  How did the idea for the ID Coach  come about?

Mike:  Well our CEO Issac Daniels came into the office upset one day.  His team lost a game, because the quarterback called the wrong play as he misread the hand signals. He was simply determined to solve the problem, which led to the idea of the Coach ID, which we created with out technology.

Paul: Can the encryption code be changed?

Mike: Yes, it can be changed as many times a league or team wants from one game to once per a half.  Even if it wasn’t changed it would take the military at least eight hours to crack.
Paul: With the right equipment can someone near the stadium hack into the signal?

Mike: No, the range of the device is 50 yards, so basically it is limited to the field.

Paul: What tests were performed on it to ensure its resistance to the weather more specifically water?

Mike: We put a device in a bucket of water for five hours and then opened it up to see how it stood up to it.  The device can withstand being submerged up to 10 meters.

Paul: How long can the device last?

Mike: It can last from five to 10 years.

Paul: Is there a program that coaches can use on a desktop or laptop computer to draw up the plays?

Mike: Yes, there is.

Paul: In the demo on the Id Coach website it showed an application for the defense.  Is the ID Coach capable of calling plays for the defense and special teams?

Mike: Yes, you can draw up plays for any of them in the drawing package that way we stay ahead of the curve.

Paul: Can more than one wristband be used at the same time?

Mike: Yes, up to 22 wristbands can be used at the same time for one device.  Some coaches have expressed interest for just their quarterbacks and some have expressed interest for their skill players.

Paul:  When there will be updates and new products?

Mike:  We have a roadmap laid out of lesser products for all levels of football from youth football to the  NFL.

Simply, put this is a amazing product and any team that does not jump pn board is putting their team at a huge disadvantage.
