New Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carrol has only been in office for a day.

However, that isn’t stopping him from impressing people.

According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Carrol has hired Alex Gibbs to be his offensive line coach.

That is on top of hiring Jeremy Bates to be his offensive coordinator.

Gibbs is one of the premier offensive line coaches and for him to be hired along with Bates means a lot for the Seahawks offense.

In the end if the Seahawks offense is bad it won’t be due to the coaching.

Really?

The Seattle Seahawks fired Jim Mora Friday and not eveb 24 hours later they already have his replacement.

How can the Seahawks really get away with such a thing.

This is the second team this year that has made a mockery of the Rooney Rule.

The way it is going with minority coaches the National Football League may rule that only minorities can be contacted first.

Then when a team has interviewed two minority coaches then a team can move onto white coaches.

In the end action must be taken to sure up the Rooney Rule, because if none is taken you might as well get rid of it.

The Seattle Seahawks are now searching for a head coach as they fired Jim Mora today.

Simply the Seahawks already screwed up after one day.

According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, via ProFootballTalk.com, the Seahawks are interested in USC head coach Pete Carroll and he is likewise interested in the Seahawks.

Well word of that has spread quickly through the coaching ranks as Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier has declined an interview citing that it is just merely an interview to fullfill the Rooney Rule and not a real oppoprtunity.

That means it will be almost impossible for the Seahawks to get a minority candidate to come in for an interview.

In the end rhe Seahawks better do some quick thinking or they are going to be paying a penalty.

The Seattle Seahawks are going to be hiring a new general manager this offseason.

With a new general manager that means head coach Jim Mora is in a tough spot.

The problem is that general managers want their own head coach and not someone that they inherited.

That means Mora needs to improve on this season to keep his job.

The Seattle Times reports that Mora acknowledge publicly that he wanted former Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren to return, and be the general manager.

With Holmgren Mora would have long term job security as Holmgren picked him to succeed him.
Mora is a quality head coach that led the Atlanta Falcons to the NFC Championship.

In the end the Seahawks will be fine under Mora as long as they get him and offensive and defensive line.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Jim Mora Jr. Is a chip off the old blocks as he provides great quotes like his father.

In his press conference with the media Mora has the right idea of how offensive linemen need to be.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, Mora stated that linemen need to be dirtbags on the football field.

That is exactly the mentality that solid offensive lines have had in the past and present.

In the trenches, which is a nick name for the line of scrimmage where the offensive and defensive line is for those of you who do not know, it is nothing short of a brutal battle between an offensive lineman and a defensive lineman.

It sometimes gets to the point where after the qhistle blows all hell breaks lose or when there is a pile up players will take cheap shots at the other team’s players.

Fellow players can call a person like Richie Incognito dirty, but the reality is that he is doing exactly what he is suppose to be doing.

In the end the Bills need more players like Incognito and fellow gaurd Eric Wood.

The Buffalo Bills search for a head coach is going just as many National Football League experts.

the reason being the first piece of the puzzle has been put in place as you can take Mike Holmgren off the list of possibilities for general manager.

The Seattle Times reports that the Seattle Seahawks have announced a press conference for Thursday morning where President of Football Operations and General Manager Tim Ruskell will resign.

That paves the way for Holmgren to come on as general manager.

The move makes sense as Holmgren was head coach last year and knows most of the current roster.

The fact of the matter is that the Bills have only a slim chance of landing a big name head coach.

In the end Bills fans are going to have to live with a head coach not names Holmgren, Tony Dungy, Bill Cowher, or Mike Shanahan.

TJ Learns a Lesson
Posted on November 3rd, 2009 at 8:59 AM by pakasprz

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver TJ Houshmanzadeh signed a $40 milliom contract with the club.

Since, TJ has learned that free agency isn’t what it is cracked up to be.

Many players are learning now what teams have known for a long time that if you are going to build a winner its going to be through the draft.

To make matters worst for TJ is that his former team in the in the Cincinnati Bengals are winning this year.

The reality is that the only teams that spend in free agency are the teams that are desperate to get to the playoffs.

In the end players are just better off signing with their own teams unless the team is the Oakland Raiders.

The Seattle Seahawks went up against the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday.

With a healthy Matt Hasselbeck at the helm the Seahawks are still a bad team, and finally need
The Seahawks for some reason thought that they were a playoff team as they went out and signed wide receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh to hopefully put them over the top.

The problem is that both the offensive and defensive line needs a major overhaul as left tackle Walter Jones is washed up and defensive end Patrick Kerney cannot stay healthy.

The rest of the offensive line is fine as all the other positions have been addressed over the last several years.

The Seahawks have addressed their problem for now as they signed tackle Damion McIntosh to fill in Jones place, but that is a short term answer as he is 32 years old.

Also, on offense they need to replace their running back as running back Julius Jones is not getting the job done.

Defensively, they need to replace both defensive tackles as they are not getting the job done as they have only one sack between the two.

In the end the Seahawks have a long ways to go if they are going to get back to the Superbowl.

The Seattle Seahawks went into this year hoping that left tackle Walter Jones would return to form.

With Jones out indefinitely for a while now the Seahawks finally show some signs of a brain.

The Seahawks finally addressed the lingering issue as they signed offensive tackle Damion McIntosh.

The problem is the move is way late and shpould have been done a long time ago.

Fortunately, at 2-3 the Seahawks are only one game behind the division leaders as the Arizona Cardinals are 2-2 and the San Francisco 49ers are 3-2

In the end the only way the Seahawks wioo get on top of the NFC West is by winning their division games..

Word broke in April that the Seattle Seahawks were going to go with a alternate jersey, which the team blew off as a April Fool’s joke.

With ESPN’s Chris Berman annoucing that the Seahawks will wear their alternate jersey Sunday the team has clearly shown their stupidity.

According to the reports in April the jerseys are hideous a lime green and blue color scheme.

Back then Seahawk fans voiced their displeasure over them.

What blows me away is that the team had almost six months to redesign the jerset.

What it shows is that the team does not have any common sense.

In the end if the Seahawks front office don’t get some common sense they will be in the NFC West basement for a long time.
