League Needs to Suspend Adams

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Dallas Cowboys left tackle Flozell Adams was caught tripping twice in the first two weeks of the National Football League season.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, Adams was caught a third time on Monday Night Football NFL commissioner Roger Goodell should suspend Adams for a couple games.

Adams already hurt one player as in week two his trip hurt the shoulder of New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck.

The fines are not doing anything as after the Giants game Adams stated that Tuck hurt his shoulder, because he doesn’t have good balance.

Hello McFly! Tuck lost his balance, because you tripped him.

In the end it is time to send a clear cut message that this type of behavior will not be tolerated by suspending him for several games.

Haynesworth is Going to Learn a Lesson

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Washington Redskins defensive tackle Alberrt Haynesworth is in the midst of a ugly divorce.

When the divorce proceedings finish Haynesworth will learn the hard way the next time he gets married he better get a prenuptual agreement.

Haynesworth this offseason signed a monster deal that included $40 million guaranteed.

That means Haynesworth will be coughing up at least $20 million.

So, in order to meet his obligations Haynesworth will have to sell his house, cars, and other assets.

In the end other National Football League players better take note, or you will lose a lot of money as well.

Can the Giants be Stopped

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

The New York Giants already had a great running game and defense.

With the Giants passing game also coming around they simply look like one of the teams to beat.

The one thing that did in the Giants was the fact that they lost wide receiver Plaxico Burress for the year after he accidentally shot himself.

With the emergences of wide receiver Mario Manningham along with a budding Pro Bowler in Steve Smith the Giants have a dangerous one two punch.

In the end it looks like that the only thing that will derail them is injuries.

Punts off the Scoreboard over under

Monday, September 28th, 2009

With the Dallas Cowboys playing on Monday Night Football National Football League fans eyes will be peeled.

To see if some punts will go off the scoreboard.

If you think about it that is how pathetic the whole situation is when a punt going off the scoreboard is the main attraction.

With there being two running teams tonight I’d say the over under on punts going off the scoreboard is 2.5.

In the end Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and the League’s office look pathetic.

Donovan Who?

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb’s time with the team is coming to a close.

The reason is that backup quarterback Kevin Kolb is ready to take over.

The Eagles used a second round pick on Kolb in the 2007 National Football League Draft.

Kolb thoroughly knows the Eagles system after sitting two years on the bench behind quarterback Donovan McNabb.

Quarterbacks that sit on the bench for two years usually turnout to be successful NFL quarterbacks.

According to Philly.com, Kolb is the first in NFL history to throw for 300 yards passing in each of his first two starts.

Many people may write off the performance against the Kansas City Chiefs as the Chiefs are a bad football team.

However, people cannot write off Kolb’s performance against the New Orleans Saints as the Saints are proving to be solid on defense as well.

If Kolb perform well against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers it will mean the end of McNabb as a Eagle as they can move onto Kolb as a start, not miss a beat offensively, and get a high draft pick for McNabb.

In the end as the saying goes all good things must come to an end.

Kolb Gets a Chance at Redemption

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb will miss Sunday’s game, because of his rib injuries.

That opens the door for back up quarterback Kevin Kolb to redeem himself after last week’s performance.

Kolb last week threw for 391 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions.

The thing is that Kolb was up against the New Orleans Saints who scored 48 points on the Eagles defense.

That meant that Kolb had to put the ball in the air to try and catch up quicker, which usually leads to more interceptions.

This week the Eagles go up against the Kansas City Chiefs who are ranked 14th in passing defense.

In the end Kolb needs to show progress if he is going to remain the primary backup to Donovan McNabb.

Giants Breathing Easy Now

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

The New York Giants all of a sudden out of the blue put safety Kenny Phillips on injured reserve due to a knee injury.

After seeing some specialists the Giants are breathing a sigh of relief.

At first reports were coming out that Phillip’s injury could be career threating as he has patellofemoral arthritis.

What it means that the cartilage around the knee cap is deteriorating.

That is not good as the legs of an National Football League players are vital to their playing career.

According to NowPublic.com,  if Phillips condition was caught early enough he could be playing again next year.

The fact is that in the end this is arthritis and that means Phillips career will be over with a lot sooner than many other athletes.

Brown’s Fine is Ridiculous

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Sheldon Brown was fined this week for wearing a Jason mask during introductions last Sunday.

The fine shows how ridiculous they are at times.

The National Football League has taken a hard stance on incidents like this to protect the integrity of the game.

The only thing it does is make the NFL look like an over protective parent as it is only introductions.

At some point you need to let people show their individualism as if you keep trying to bottle it will cause problems later

In the end the NFL really needs to just lighten up.

Competition at Guard is Laughable

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

The Washington Redskins lost right guard Randy Thomas for the year as he suffered a season ending injury in the win against the Saint Louis Rams.

The way they are going about to replace Thomas is just purely laughable.

According to the Washington Post, Redskins head coach Jim Zorn announced that guard Chris Rinehart and guard/center Will Montgomery will compete for the job.

The player that should replace Thomas is the player that practiced all through training camp at that position.

Having a competition at this point in the season is just plain stupid as it limits the number of snaps the starter will take throughout the week during practice.

What it will do is not allow the starter to develop the communication and the chemistry that is needed for an offensive line to get the job done.

In the end if Zorn keeps pulling moves like this he will find himselg poop canned.

The Next Super Mario?

Monday, September 21st, 2009

The New York Giants took wide receiver Mario Manningham in the third round as he slipped into the third round of the 2008 National Football League Draft.

After two games Manningham is starting to look like the Super Mario of the NFL.

Manningham on Sunday Night Football caught 10 passes for 150 yards with one touchdown.

That is pretty good considering that Manningham is the third wide receiver on the Giants.

The one question for the Giants going into 2009 was do they have an answer to wide receiver Plaxico Burress who was cut by the team back in April.

With the Giants having two solid receivers in Manningham and Steve Smith the Giants have a solid one two punch.

With tight end Kevin Boss, rookie rookie wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, and one of the best running games in the NFL the Giants are just absolutely stacked on offense.

In the end the Giants are simply one of the teams to beat in the NFC Conference.
