When Will Davis Wise Up

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

It was reported today that on the Dan Patrick Show, via ProFootballTalk.com, that Oakland Raiders great Howie Long stated that the Raiders are hard to watch.

That has got me wondering if Raiders owner Al Davis will ever listen to anyone.

The Raiders earlier this year tried to ban former Raider quarterback turned television analyst Rich Gannon from the facilities after critical comments about the team.

The thing is that as long as the Raiders keep losing former players are all gonna xriticize the team.

Soonwe or later Davis will have to listen.

In the end hopefully Davis will start listening before its too late.

Can Raiders Really be Trusted

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

The Oakland Raiders announced yesterday that there will be a full investigation by the team into allegations that were made by two women that they were abused by head coach Tom Cable.

The fact of the matter is that this os the Oakland Raiders and they cannot be trusted.

The Raiders are notorius for lying as still to this day the club will deny things when first reported, which later would prove to be true.

also, they did nothing when the whole assault incident became public.

Most teams would suspend their head coaches with pay pending an investigation.

Also, the Raiders have stated before that ESPN fabricates things about them.

The fact of the matter is the Raiders will blow the whole thing off soon as they find one inconsistency.

In the end the Raiders are fooling nobody as the announcement is merely a public relations move.

They Just Won’t Go Away

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

Being an oldest of three kids I have a younger brother that when I was younger would follow me around.

Just like him the Oakland Raiders just won’t go away.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, Michael Silver reported thay he was denied a request for credentials that was made on October 18th.

The reason that was given was that there would be no room in the press box, which is a load of garbage.

The reason is believed to be that Silver has written former defensive assistant Randy Hanson’s side of the incident between him and Raiders head coach Tom Cable.

Clearly, they just don’t get it as Davis needs to stop meddling in things as he is too old and incapable of making a sound decision.

Positive things are written when they happen and that will only will happen when Davis hires a football guy to run the Raiders.

In the end unfortunately that will only happen when hell freezes over or Davis dies.

Exhonerated or Lucky

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

The saga surrounding the Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable has comw to a close.

With Napa District Attorney Gary Liberstein not press charges one has to wonder was Cable exhonerated, or did he get lucky?

Football teams are like families and sometimes even your own family will lie for you.

In this case you have to wonder if the coaches all stuck together with one story to make Hanson look like a liar.

One thing is for sure there was a confrontation and a some verbal threats made by Cable.

In the end Cable is ultimately guilty of losing his temper and putting himself in this position as if he continues this kind of behavior he will lose his players.

Raiders Scouting Department is Bad

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

It is starting to become aparant that quarterback Jamarcus Russell is going to be a huge bust.

If that happens that means the Raiders scouting department is just garbage.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, Russell is a mess as he is constantly missing meetings and not putting in the work necessary to be successful.

If that is the case then the Raiders scouting department did not do their homework, because if they did they woul have found out that his habits are garbage.

Somply, if you don’t work out regularly and put in the work necessary you won’t be in the National Football League very long.

In the end it is time for Russell to sit on the bench for a while.

Goodell Needs to Step in

Monday, September 28th, 2009

The Oakland Raiders are have become a diaster of a organization not only on the field, but in the front office as well.

With another Raiders spokesman ripping a reporter again it is time for National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell to step in.

It all started in the postgame interviews when Raiders defensive end Richarsd Seymour was questioned over a penalty for pulling Denver Broncos left tackle Ryan Clady’s hair.

Seymour didn’t like being questioned about it and told the reporter that he is not talking until he got lostn which Seymour didn’t do after the reporter left.

When the reporter got back to the press box the Raider spopkedman berated the reporter for inciting Seymour.

Simply, the spokesman is out of line and was completely unprofessional.

In the end it I’d time for Goodell to step in and show then the way they should act.

Raiders Offense Will Take Time

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

The Oakland Raiders passing game has looked terrible through two games.

Unfortunately, Raiders fans are going to have to wait a while for it to get better.

The problem with the offense is that the starting quarterback and wide receivers have three years or less playing experience.

That means route running, timing, and chemistry is off right now.

The thing is those things take time and experience to develop through practice an games.

It is understandably maddening to see a quarterback struggling in his third year.

In the end Raiders fans just need to remember the team is a mess and will take some time to become elite once again.

Somethings Never Change

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

The Oakland Raiders looked liked they finally came to their senses with the trade for defensive end Richard Seymour.

That thinking proved to be wrong as the Raiders are up to their old tricks.

Reports are that Raider spokesman John Herrera attampted to ban former Oakland Raider quarterback Rich Gannon due to his critical comments of the team.

CBS of course refused to give into the demands citing that he has been fair and objective.

This isn’t Herrera’s first incident as he berrated a reporter last year after a news conference.

In the end it is simply time for Herrera to go.

Finally A Step in the Right Direction

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

The Oakland Raiders stunned the National Football League when they traded for defensive end Richard Seymour.

With Seymour reporting to the team right before the regular season opener against the San Diego Chargers the Raiders have finally taken a step in the right direction.

Seymour could be the final piece of what could be a a revamped defensive line that will bring the Raiders defense back to respectability.

In the end if the defense can live up to its potential it could vault the Raiders into the playoffs by winning the division.
The Raiders already have to quality defensive tackles in Gerrard Warren and Tommy Kelly.

Then in the June they signed defensive end Gregg Ellis after he was cut from the Dallas Cowboys.

Things Just Get Weirder for the Raiders

Monday, August 17th, 2009

For some reason thing for the Oakland Raiders just keep getting worst as time goes on.

As the 2009 regular season has not commenced things are already turning ugly for the Raiders.

According to AOL’s Fanhouse, Raiders head coach Tom Cable allegedly punched defensive assistant Randy Hanson in the jaw.

Police did ask Hanson who his attacker was, but Hanson has refused to do so.

Hanson not naming anybody doesn’t mean it will end there as National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell will surely have his security team investigate the matter.

Once Goodell finds out who it is you can bet that person is going to be suspended for violating the Personal Conduct policy.

The problem is that this isn’t the first incident not involving a player as last year a front office employee of the Raiders almost came to blows with a reporter.

In the end if it is Cable the Raiders’ chances will surely be in jeopardy as they take on all three division rivals in the first three weeks of the regular season.
