Many people are blaming Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth’s drinking and marijuana use as the main culprits for the accident that resulted in a man being killed.  The fact of the matter is that even if he was sober the accident would have still happened.

Working in the transportation industry I have seen similar cases like this time and time again.  The reason is that my employer has to give us refersher courses on safety, since I work for a bus company.

People in a hurry do not pay attention to their surroundings, which gets children and adults killed.

All of us in the bus transportation industry are warned to watch out for kids darting in between cars to get to their bus, because you cannot see them.

Not having seent the video as it is sealed, just hearing the report that the victim was jay walking to catch a bus, which leads me to believe he was running in between cars to catch it.

Since he was running in between the cars even if Stallworth would of been sober he still would of hit the person.

Now, do not get me wrong I am not making any excuses for Stallworth as there is no reason to drink and drive the amount of money National Football League players make.

In the end as studies have shown people are usually distracted while driving, which means that this horrible incident would of happen any which ways.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth killed a man one morning while driving under the influence.  Many people may think that stallworth got off easy, but in reality he will suffer the rest of his life.

We train and condition our minds everyday with phrases and things we learn.

Some of those things can be good and some can be bad depending on the way you look at it, or even say it.

People that were put in the complete darkness of solitary confinement at Alcatraz kept themselves from going insane by imagining that they were not in prison.

Killing a person is a image that a normal person will never be able to get out of their mind.

Stallworth not only will go to jail for 30 days, but will be on probation after that for another ten years, which two is house arrest.

Also, Stallworth will never be able to drive a car again as his license has been revoked permantly.  Unless you have enough money that you can hire a chauffer to drive you.

Then there is the National Football League as commissioner Roger Goodell has suspended Stallworth indefinitely.

It will be an amazing accomplishment if Stallworth play in the NFL again just from the number of obstacles that he has to deal with physically and mentally.

The Cleveland Browns are being led now by a new general manager and head coach.  Even though the front office changes the Browns are still a mess.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, Cleveland Browns general manager George Konkis is not fullfilling promises that the previous regime had made.

That has already made wide receiver and kick returned Josh Cribbs upset as he intends to skip voluntary OTA’s for the Browns failure to redo his contract after the Brown promised to do so previously.

The problem is that ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that even Browns owner Randy Lerner promised soemthing will be done with his contract even after general manager Phil Savage and head coach Romeo Crennel were fired.

Konkis needs to wake up, because the frikin owner even promised Cribbs and if the owners word means nothing than nobody is going to play for the Cleveland Browns ever as long as Lerner is the owner.

You simply do not come onto a job and say sorry your out of luck, because that was them.

What you do is sit down with the player listen to him and explain the situation, which is that they are new and are still evaluating players, but will do something after the upcoming season, since he still has four years left on his contract.

If they cannot do this then they need to be shown the door no matter how long and how much they have left on their contract.

The Cleveland Browns hired Eric Mangini as head coach to bring discipline, along with winning seasons.  If Mangini doesn’t perform right out of the blocks, then it will be a short stay for him in Cleveland.

Mangini’s contract is for four years, according to ESPN.com.  Most coaches are given three years, but Mangini’s situation is completely different.

Mangini was given a lot of power, because he was hired first.  So, he recommended his close longtime friend George Kokinis.  So, that means the two are on equal level when it comes to power within the team.

Ultimately, the two answer to owner Randy Lerner.  That is not good, because soon as things go bad on the team Kokinis and Mangini will be blaming each other to save their skin.

The fact of the matter is that the Browns have a lot of talent on both the offense and the defense.  The most important decision that Mangini will face wll be at quarterback.

The Browns have a young quarterback in Brady Quinn and a young veteran in Derek Anderson.  Mangini defered to training camp to make a decision, so he can make a decision base on their performance in practice and in preseason games.

Simply, Mangini’s fate rests in the hands of his quarterbacks, because if they fail then Mangini will have also failed.

The Combine is underway and one of its dirty little secrets is that agents gauge the interest of teams in his client.  Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini went too far, and should me made an example of.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Mangini commented on soon to be free agent running back Derrick Ward by saying “He’s a guy we’d look at.”  Talking about other players under contract is considered tampering.

The way tampering works is that a team must file charges first.  Then the incident will be investigated.

Simply, that needs to change, especially in this case.

National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell has a chance to send a message in suspending Mangini for a couple of games and taking a draft pick away.

Also, a way for the tampering to stop is to ban agents from the Combine.  For there is no need for them there if their client did his homework before hand.

In the end Browns owner Randy Lerner is going to learn that you do not hire a head coach before a general manager, especially one from the New England Patriots.

The rumours are flying about a fight that occurred on Monday December 15th of a fight that involved two Cleveland Browns players.  The team’s handling of the incident is just another example of the mess the team is.

According to Pro Football Talk.com the two players involved are defensive end Shaun Smith and quarterback Brady Quinn.  It is still not known how the fight started, but what is known that after some verbal exchanges between the two Smith punched Quinn, and then after being separated other players Smith picked up a ten pound weight and threw it at Quinn.

Things have just gone bad right from the start of training camp for the Browns.  There were high expectations, and with their implosion there is bound to be internal conflict.

Head coach Romeo Crennel has neither confirmed, nor deny the story.  So, that pretty much means that the story is true, and they are trying to keep it in house, so that they do not look bad.

The thing is that covering it up is the worst thing a organization can do.  The reason being that fans want to know what is going on, since a lot of the money the team makes is from their hard earned money.

Also, this is the age of technology, and with all the different type of media coverage it is bound to get out anyways. 

The problem is that covering it up only makes the organization look worst, because now they look like they cannot even discipline, or handle simple problems, that come up.

Now, owner Randy Lerner is going to have no choice, but to fire both head coach Crennel, and general manager Phil Savage that is if he wants fans buying tickets next year.  

The Cleveland Browns went from a team that barely missed the playoffs last year to a miserable team this year.  Even the general manager is acting miserably.

General manager Phils Savage has confirmed to the associated press today that he sent a letter saying “Go root for Buffalo F#$* Y*&.  

The email was a response to an email from a fan that stated this regime is worst than former head coach Butch Davis.

What Savage did was down right stupid.  That what people want you to do, and this is what happens when it does.

Savage had to take the high road in this instance, but he didn’t.  In the end this should cost him his job.  Which, it looks like it possibly has.

According to Pro Football Talk.com the Cleveland Browns have approached former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher.

The Browns offered a contract worth eight to nine million dollars a year.  Also, Cowher would have final say in personnel matters, and install some people he trusts at key positions.

The only thing now is for the Browns to wait for a response from Cowher.  A yes, and it is most likely bye-bye to Savage.  A no would most likely save his bacon.

The Cleveland Browns have lost tight end Kellen Winslow for the foreseeable futre, because an infection.  In wake of this news the front office of the Browns need to take some drastic action.

The Browns are getting to the point where poeple are going to start referring to a infection as a Cleveland Brown instead of being simply an infection.

Every year it is the same thing with the Browns.  That is soemone falls ill to an infection.

In previous years players for the Browns have been afflicted by staph infections.  However, it is not known right what type of an infection that he has.

It is getting ridiculous, and it is getting to the point that the Browns really need to think about brining in the Center for Disease Control.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards was already not having a good start to the season as he suffered a gash in his foot that required stiches, after teammate Donte Stallworth stepped on it during a special team drill.  Things have gotten worst as Stallworth will get a ticket for speeding 120 miles per an hour.

According to Pro Football Talk.com the incident happened om August 29th, 2008.  At first the officer let him go, as he was star struck by Edwards.  Only after Channel 19 in Cleveland air a strory about it did they give him a ticket. 

Everyone at some point in time gets out of a ticket.  However, that is never the case with regular people when they go that fast.

It is good to see that the law came to its senses, and gave Edwards a ticket.  No National Football League player should be above the law, especially when someone is driving their car like a rocket on the thruway.

If I was the Browns I would worry.  Not for a possible suspension under the Players conduct, but due to his showing that he has a inability to exercise poor judgement.

Simply, Edwards is a ticking time bomb waiting go off.  It is only a matter of time he does something to get suspended for a period of time.  In regards to the ticket look for him to just get a fine.
