The Buffalo Bills are a franchise that clearly has lost its way.

As Mike Lombardi of NationalFootballPost.com stated on WGR 550 its time for the Bills to develop a philosophy.

The Bills identity should be a big tough team that can run and stop the run.

The Bills offensive line last year was fine and all it needed was a center, but the front office doolishly blew up the line.

The bigger issue is defensive tackle as it is clear that Spencer Johnson and Kyle Williams cannot cut it.

The way they can easily fix it is switch to a 3-4 defense, which is better for run blocking and diguising coverages.

First they will have to cut Johnson and Williams as there will be no room for them with a 3-4 only needing one starting defensive tackle and a backup, which will be Marcus Stroud and John McCargo.

Then you can switch defensive end Aaron Maybin to outside linebacker to be the pass rushing linebacker like Demarcus Ware and Terrell Suggs.

At the other outside linebacker spot you can have a competition between Nic Harris and Keith Ellison.

Then at inside linebacker you would have Kawika Mitchel and Paul Poszluzny with the defensive back field remaining the same.

The offense needs to become a run first team that needs a quarterback that will embrace the cold weather as the last three of the last four Bills franchise quarterbacks in Trent Edwards, JP Losman, and Rob Johnson all cam from Southern California.

At quarterback right now I would bring in Drew Willey as a practice squad quarterback to develop to at least by a viable back up.

As for the offensive line I would not change any of the starters as they are all rookie starters this year and should get better with experience.

At the skilled positions you just have to start James Hardy or Steve Johnson to find out if either can be the second wide receiver.

In the end the organization as a whole needs a make over from top to bottom and needs tough, rugged, and firey people.

With Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson firing head coach Dick Jauron all the different possibilities of head coaches are coming into play.

One that Bills fans should consider, even though it sounds crazy at first, is the rehiring of Gregg Williams.

With Williams as the head coach Wilson won’t have to clean out the front office, since Williams worked with them when he was head coach of the Bills.

Also, Williams is a hot commodity again for the job he has done with the New Orleans Saints defense.

Even Peter King of Si.com wrote in his Monday Morning Quarterback column that Williams was essentially a elite quarterback away from being in the playoffs.

That quarterback was Drew Brees as Williams wanted him, but the Bills couldn’t trade up to get him.

In the end people need to remember that Wilson is 91 and he know his time is running out.

The Buffalo Bills had high hopes for this season, but that is quickly down the drain.

Finally, Bills fans have gotten their wish as head coach Dick Jauron has been fired.

The question is now what direction the offense will take as offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt should have the autonimy to take the offense in whatever direction he so chooses.

In the end the rest of the year will be fun as anything can happen now.

According to Jason La Canfora, the Buffalo Bills will start quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick Sunday.

The fact of the matter is that it doesn’t matter who the Bills start they will lose.

The problems with the Bills is bigger than the quarterback.

First, their offense is so basic defenses are easily able to figure what the Bills are doing as they use very few formations and personell groups, along with very little shifting and motion.

Secondly, the offensive line is decimated by injuries, which means tight ends have to stay and block instead of going into routes.

In the end the problems with this team starts with the coaches and only till they are replaced will things get better.

Many people are down on the current Buffalo Bills scouting staff for missing on the quarterback position twice in the draft.

What the real problem is the Bills have not had a solid decision maker since the Bills had Bill Polian as general manager.

Vic Carucci of NFL.com wrote recently that he suspects Bills owner Ralph Wilson will go out and hire a top notch head coach.

That is great, but the fact of the matter is that the person that brings in good personnel is the general manager.

Coaches that have been entrusted to make decisions on personell have for the most part just flopped, except former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher.

In the end the Bills will get back to the playoffs when they have the next top notch GM.

The Buffalo Bills took have been nothing short of a disaster.

With first round pick Aaron Maybin still on the bench it is time for the Bills to start him.

Maybin Sunday got only three snaps.

That right there is a clear sign that the coaching staff is clearly incompetent.

While all the other top fifteen picks are having an impact on their team, along with significant playing time, the Bills still refuse to give him more snaps.

It is a case of the Bills being cautious for no reason what so ever.

The defensive end position is not a hard position to learn as it is more about getting into shape of that of a elite defensive end, which takes a full year.

Other teams that took defensive ends in the first round have found a way to get them on the field, while the Bills still haven’t.

In the end things each week are just getting more and more pathetic to the point its commical.

The Buffalo Bills headed into Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans looking to fix their sinking ship.

The only thing that came out of this game is that the Bills are just pathetic.

In all my years of football this team is by far the worst I have ever seen.

They are so desperate that coaches are playing players in different positions than they normally play to fix thing, but all that does is make things worst.

The Bills moved safety Bryon Scott to linebacker this week and the move was horrible as he got eaten alive by offensive lineman and blew a tackle on what would be the game winning touchdown by the Tennessee Titans.

The only other thing I have to say about the defense is that defensive coordinator Perry Fewell needs to be fired as his play calling stinks.

Titans running back Chris Johnson gashed the Bills all game in the run and pass, but still Fewell stayed back in their typical defense when he should have been blitzing to take Johnson away.

As for the offense the first thing they need to do is cut wide receiver Terrell Owens as he is not a difference maker in this offense.

There is just way too many injuries on this club as people every week go down with something major.

The only way to fix this mess is to clear out the front office, along with Bills head coach Dick Jauron and his coaching staff.

In the end if the Bills fail to do this save your money Bills fans and don’t buy season tickets next year.

The Buffalo Bills for years now has provided false hope going into the regular season several years now.

With another year going down the drain Bills players and cpoaches need to shut up.

Everytime I read the Buffalo News it is the same garbage over and over again.

The offense is the biggest culprit of it as again on Friday Bills tight end Shawn Nelson stated that coaches want to get him more involved.

You know just shut up and do it for once!

They do all this talking, but they never do any walking.

If the coaching staff had some brains the would use plays like tight end screens, post patterns, and go routes.

Maybe they are calling go routes and post patterns for the tight end and we just don’t see it due to television coverage.

In the end they need to follow through on what they say as they very rarely do.

The Buffalo Bills are embarking into the second half of their season.

With the Tennessee Titans this weeks oponent the Bills don’t have a prayer against them.

The problem with the Bills os that their run defense stinks and the Titans have one of the better running attacks in the league.

To make matters worst the Titans quarterback is Vince Young who is very elusive and was the quarterback the last time the Bills faced the Titans in a gane they were kbocked out of the playoff race.

In the end the Bills are going to need turnovers to win.

The New York Jets took outside linebacker Vernon Gholston to be an impact player.

Gholston has been nothing but just plain pathetic.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, Gholston was hurt during a walkthrough in practice Wednesday.

That is just simply an indicator of how bad it has been.

In his defense this year he has started only three games.

Also, there is no reason why not to bring him in on obviius passing downs.

In the end the only true way to find out about Gholston is a bust I’d playing him.
