The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that recently cut New Orleans Saints long snapper Kevin Houser is trying to get money back that he invested in a motion pictures studio.

The Baltimore Sun talks with Baltimore Raven head coach John Harbaugh about his upcoming visit with troops overseas in Iraq.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth had trace amounts of marijuana in his blood.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Pittsburgh Steelers owner Dan Rooney was sworn in today as Ambassador to Ireland.

The Houston Chronicle writes about the story of defesensive end Connor Barwin and his story about his hearing.

The Indianapolis Star reports that Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels has made it clear that he wants no future legislation to help the Capital Improvements Board, which runs and maintains the new Indianapolis Colts stadium.

The Tennessean reports that the Tennessee Titans signed third round draft pick cornerback Ryan Mouton and fourth round draft pick linebacker Gerald McRath.  Also, Titan head coach Jeff Fisher packed his bags for the Gulf.

The Boston Globe reports that free agent linebacker Willie McGinest wants to return to the New England Patriots.

The Kansas City Star reports that construction on Arrowhead Stadium is on track for the teams home opener. Also, construction for the new Chiefs training camp facility has started.  Finally, offensive tackle Branden Albert is trying to be a leader by sticking to his diet.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that the Minnesota Vikings signed fifth round linebacker Jasper Brinkley. Also, rookie wide receiver Percy Harvin might have to attend the 2010 Rookie symposium, because he missed it due to illness.

The Charlotte Observer reports that the Carolina Panthers released rookie linebackers Mike Juergens and Brit Miller.

The Dallas Morning News reports that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo played with Tiger Woods in the pro-am at the AT&T National at Congressional Country Club on Wednesday and on Tuesday visited a 10 year old with leukemia.

The Philadelphia Daily News reports that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb will appear in the new IHOP commercials.

The Seattle Times reports on how Seattle Seahawks fans can attend practices open to the public.

The Tampa Tribune reports that former Tampa Bay Buccaneers LB Ryan Nece will hold the second annual Mind & Body Clinic for teen athletes 13-17 years old at Jefferson High School on July 9.

The Newark Star Ledger reports that offensive lineman Mike Fladell was cut by the New York Jets after failing his physical.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Joe Jurevicius is suing the Cleveland Browns, the teams doctors, and the Cleveland Clinic over his staph infection.

The Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports that Pittsburgh Steelers owner Dan Rooney has been confirmed by the Senate as Ambassador to Ireland.

The Florida Times-Union reports that Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Dennis Northcutt has been traded to the Detriot Lions for safety Gerald Alexander.

The Tennessean reports that the Tennessee Titans signed sixth round pick wide receiver Dominique Edison.  They also report that running back Chris Henry might not make it to the regular season.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the San Diego Chargers have put the possibility of Chula Vista as a site for the Chargers new stadium.

The Detroit Free Press reports that the Detroit Lions have signed free agent wide receiver Kenneth Harris and cut wide receiver Tommy Saunders and offensive lineman James Blair.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that wide receiver Gregg Jennings signed a three year $26 million contract extension with $11.25 in form of a signing bonus.   Also, defensive end Johnny Jolly’s drug possession trial has been pushed back to July 17th.

The Minneapolis StarTribune reports that Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson hinted that he might be throwing out of the Vikings version of the Wildcat Formation.

The Seattle Times reports that Seattle Seahawks fullback Owen Schmitt was arrested for suspicion of DUI last Saturday.

The Associated Press reports that the New York Jets claimed wide receiver Mario Urrutia off waivers.  They also report National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell is reviewing wide receiver Plaxico Burress shooting himself case.

The Rock Hill Herald, via ProFootballTalk.com, reports that the Panthers signed fourth round pick fullback Tony Fiammetta and released long snapper Patrick MacDonald and defensive tackle Babatunde Oshinowo.

The Denver Post reports that Willie Clark, who is the suspect in the shooting death of cornerback Darrent Williams, has his arraignment in another murder trial postponed until October 2nd.  Also, tight end Daniel Graham hosted a football camp in Denver today.

InsidetheBayarea.com reports some wierd news from the Oakland Raiders that takes their advertising to new heights.  The only other this I have to say is you have to read the article as it is head scratching.

The Tennessean reports that Tennesse Titans running back Chris Brown has dropped the nickname dash for his own.  Really this is news?  He can call himself god and I could care less. The paper also reports that the signed sixth round pick cornerback Jason McCourty and seventh round pick offensive lineman Ryan Durand
Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Fernando Bryant has announced his retirement.

The Miami Herald reports that the Miami Dolphins signed safety Tyrone Culver to a two year contract extension.

The Boston Globe reports that New England Patriot linebacker Teddy Bruschi is undecided if this is going to be his last year.

The Kansas City Star reports that the Kansas City Chiefs have announced it will retire former Chiefs linebacker Derrick Brooks number 58.  They should have done this years ago.

The Detroit Free Press reports that the battles for starting position start today with the opening of mandatory minicamp.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the cost for parking at Bears games have gone up.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette, as well as other media outlets, report that the Green Bay Packers are close on a contract extension.

The Dallas Morning News that the band of three offensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys signed a recording contract.

Kevin Lynch of the San Francisco Gate Chronicle is wondering if former San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike Martz is right about tight end Vernon Davis.

The Newark Star Ledger reports that the New York Jets have reached a deal with Atlanctic Health for advertising on their practice jerseys.

WCCO confirms ProFootballTalk.com report that the Minnesot Vikings and quarterback Brett Farve have agreed to a contract in principle.

The Boston Globe reports that second year cornerback Jonathan Wilhite will compete for the third cornerback postion on the depth chart.

The Kansas City Star reports that a local company was awarded the contract to build the Kansas City Chiefs practice facility at Missouris Western State University.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that safety Nick Collins was only seen last week at practice for 20 minutes on Wednesday and was not seen again the rest of the week.  That is not good considering that a whole new defensive system is being installed at practice.
The Chicago Tribune reports on the late great Walter Payton son Jarrett who plays in the Canadian Football League.

The Seattle Times interviews Jeff Kemp on his memories of his famous dad politician and former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jack Kemp.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that quarterback Derek Anderson missed the second straight mandatory minicamp practice with “bumps and bruises,” which is bull crap for that Anderson probably strained his calf and Mangini is only adding more fuel to the reason for NFL Commissioner Rogers Goodell clamping down on injury reports.

The Baltimore Sun reports that the Baltimore Ravens might have found another undrafted free agent gem, which only makes me more furious since the Buffalo Bills orginally had safety Jim Leonahrd.

The Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports that the Pittsburgh Steelers signed third round draft pick cornerback Keenan Lewis, fifth round picks cornerback Joe Burnett and running back Frank Summers and released punter Dirk Johnson.

The Tennessean reports that the man hunt for quarterback Vince Young embarrassed him.  Really who wouldn’t be.

The Boston Globe reports that New England Patriots quarterback coach Bill O’Brein is running the offense even though he has not been named offensive coordinator.  That is not unusal as after former offensive coordinator Charlie Weis left the Patriots did the same thing then.

The Denver Post reports that Kyle Orton has been named the starting quarterback.  Also, they report that wide receiver Brandon Marshall has skipped mandatory minicamp.

Former Oakland Raider Barret Robbins stated that he cost the Radiers Superbowl XXXVII, according to the Bay Area News Group.

The Washinton Redskins annouced they signed sixth round draft pick Robert Henson and seventh round pick wide receiver Marko Mitchell.

The Associated Press reports that Plaxico Burress’s court case will be adjourned till September to work our a deal.
