Many Buffalo Sabres fans are happy Saturday after the Sabres beat the Philadelphia Flyers in overtime.
Considering what happened last night you got to give them some credit.
The Sabres lost forward Jason Pominville for the game, and possibly even longer, along with defenseman Jordan Leopold. Fortunately, Leopold returned late in the second period, but the Flyers were back in the game at that time.
Pominville’s loss took a lot of steam out of them and a lot of times when a team loses a key player they fall apart. However, the Sabres gathered themselves for the third and eventually pulled it off.
In the end, with the way their playing you got to like their chances against anyone in the National Hockey League.
