Well there has been some uneasiness about who the Buffalo Bills will select at third overall in April’s upcoming National Football League Draft.
However, Bills fans can rest easy as one of the positions has just been eliminated.
According to Peter King of Sports Illustrated, the Bills are definitely not taking a wide receiver. Even though the Bills have a stable of quality wide receivers some people speculated that the Bills could go after wide receiver A.J. Green.
Thankfully, that little detour into speculation land has ended, because taking a wide receiver would have been one of the most stupidest moves the Bills could have made besides taking outside linebacker Aaron Maybin over Brian Orakpo in the 2009 NFL Draft. To be honest I figured that Orakpo would work out, because the Texas Longhorns haven’t produced a stud NFL player and they were over due.
So, the question is what positions will the Bills focus on? Well you can cross off cornerback off that list as well as King went on to write that the Bills will decide between defensive line and quarterback.
The only way that the Bills take a defensive lineman is if someone trades up with the Denver Broncos to take a quarterback, unless they themselves take one unexpectedly, and the Carolina Panthers also take a quarterback as well.
In the end, it will the Bills pick will come down to who head coach Chan Gailey thinks will develop into a franchise quarterback.
