Nelson and Johnson get their chance

Many Buffalo Bills fans have been debating if the Bills should move on from wide receiver Lee Evans with the emergence of wide receiver Stevie Johnson and the solid play of rookie wide receiver David Nelson.

With Evans being placed on season ending injured reserve Johnson and Nelson get their chance to shine.

Evans has been a huge disappointment this year as he has had his worst season as a pro ever. His 37 catches for 578 yards receiving are the worst of his c areer. To his defense though he has recorded these in 13 games while in all of his previous six seasons Evans appeared in every game even though he may have not started it.

Johnson leads the team in catches, receiving yards and touchdowns as he has 66 catches for 874 yards receiving and nine touchdowns. Nelson in a limited role is not that far behind Evans as he has 28 catches for 292 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

With Evans done Bills fans get a glimpse of how things could be without Evans since both will the starting wide receivers this Sunday. The pair will also be put to the test immediately as the Bills travel to Miami this week to take on the Dolphins  then the next Sunday they take on the New England Patriots and finish the season against the New York Jets.

In the end, hopefully the pair will prove that they can handle it.
