Many Buffalo Bills fans were dismayed that the team took CJ Spiller with their first round pick this past April.
However, on his second carry in Thursday’s preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts Spiller showed why they took him.
On 1st and 10 from the Colts 31 yard line Spiller made three guys miss on his way to a 31 yard touchdown.
To be honest it was like watching Bills Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas or Detroit Lions Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders.
That is the exact running style that I mentioned in a earlier post that will allow Spiller to be a full time starter in the National Football League.
Thomas and Sanders lasted as long as they did in the NFL by making guys miss and not taking as many hits like a power running back.
In the end, Bills fans finally have something to look forward to on offense besides wide receiver Lee Evans.
