With three starters along the Buffalo Bills offensive line the offense will be hard press to get things going tonight.
So, what should we be looking for?
The main thing is to look at individual battles along the offensive and defensive line.
On the offensive line guard Andy Levitre is going into his second years, so consistency in winning battles is the key for him.
Then there is center Geoff Hangartner who is going in his second year as the Bills starting center.
Hangartner was solid last year for the Bills and with new head coach Chan Gailey brining in a tough attitude look for Hangartner to get nasty like he did earlier in training camp when he got into a fight with Bills outside linebacker Aaron Maybin on the second day of practice.
On the defense the keys will be nose tackle Kyle Williams as if he gets pushed around the Bills run defense will be terrible once again.
The other is outside linebacker Aaron Maybin and his ability to get to the quarterback as he needs to step up now with Aaron Schobel being gone.
In the end, it maybe preseason, but there are important things to watch.
It was reported earlier today by ESPNBoston.com that the New England Patriots could lose defensive end Ty Warren for the season.
According to Pro Football Talk, that is indeed the case as Warren has already been put on injured reserve this afternoon.
ESPNBoston.com revealed that Warren’s inury was a torn labrum in his hip.
Many National Football League players have played with torn labrum’s in their shoulder, the latest case being Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, but with this being in the hip it is much more painful to deal with. The reason being shoulders don’t have a lot of body weight on top of them like hips do.
Also, anything wrong with the hips usually affect speed and mobility, which ESPNBoston.com reported was happening with Warren.
In the end, Warren made the right decision.
With the Buffalo Bills first preseason game tonight means one thing.
That being its time to break things down.
Yes, I will admit I break down the games via my DVR, but that is what is available for now.
Now, that I mention this I have an idea and will post the answer Monday as it is the next business day, but it probably will fall through.
With any football team the foundation is the offensive and defensive line.
In the end, we will have it up tonight or tommorrow the latest.
