The Buffalo Bills offense once again had a bad day as the defense is proving why it was ranked second overall last year.
However, the one thing you can take away is that Brohm should be the starter.
According to WGR, Edwards once again proved why he is not a capable starter in the league as in seven on seven drills Edwards completed 8-12 passes, but five of them were to the running backs on flat patterns or circle routes. Then in 11 on 11 Edwards was 6-8 for 29 yards and you can bet half of those were to the running backs.
Fellow quarterback Brian Brohm in 11 on 11 drills was 1-4 for 4 yards, but what the difference is that Brohm is throwing the football down the field and is learning what spots he can and what spots he cannot throw to. That means eventually as training camp progresses Brohm should get better and the offense will look better under his control as well.
The fact of the matter is that the National Football League has and always will be a quarterback league as even a smashmouth football team like the Bills are planning to be have to have timely passing from their quarterback to keep defenses honest.
In the end, if Gailey names Edwards the starter he will only learn the hard way why we call Edwareds “captain checkdown.”
When Rex Ryan was hired as the New York Jets head coach many in the media wondered if he had a big of a mouth as his father former National Football League coach Buddy Ryan.
As the saying goes the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, via Pro Football Talk, when Schefter visits a training camp someone from that team sign’s their logo on his bus.
For the Jets head coach Rex Ryan did the honors and not only did he sign his name, but also signed “soon to be champs.”
Talk about stupid, but that right there takes the cake. I am starting to wonder if if Patrick Star from the show Spongebob Squarepants is a relative of his ( my kids love the show) and for those of you who have never seen the show Patrick is dumber than a caveman.
What the comments have done has put a bullseye right on the Jets. That means teams are going to set out to not only to make sure they beat the Jets, but also hurt them in the process.
In the end, Ryan is only hurting the team.
The Denver Broncos already were banged up with their top two running backs in Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter suffering injuries.
However, the Broncos suffered their biggest blow yet as outside linebacker Elvis Dummerville tore a pectoral muscle Thursday.
The injury apparently can take up to five months to over come.
That means there is a good chance that his season is done already.
As of right now the Broncos have two option. Them being either put Dummerville on injured reserve and end his season already or the physically unable to perform list.
If Dummerville was to go on the PUP list he would be eligible to practice in week nine.
However, in Dummerville’s case he most likely still won’t be ready and the Broncos will have to use a roster spot on him if they hope to get him back in December.
In the end, the way its going its going to be a long season for the Broncos.
