Big Ben not out of the woods yet

Standard

Reports have emerged that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was involved at another incident at a Dublin, Ohio golf course.

Even though it looks like Roethlisberger wasn’t the culprit he is still not out of the woods.

According to the reports, someone, or Roethlisberger himself, was caught publicly peeing on a golf course by a neighboring woman.

Even though no charges were pressed since Roethlisberger was involved you can bet National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell will send NFL security to investigate the matter.

The significance is if it was Roethlisberger it shows that he hasn’t changed since the alleged rape he committed.

If it wasn’t him then was there any actions that Roethlisberger took to prevent this from happening in the first place.

In the end, Roethlisberger needs to learn that who you choose as friends will determine how much trouble will you get into if any at all.

Steinbrenner had an influence on NFL

Standard

The sudden passing of New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner shocked everyone.

However, he will forever be remembered as the way he ran his baseball team has influenced owners in the National Football League.

According to Pro Football Talk, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, New York Giants president John Maran, and Washington Redskins owner Dan Synder all released statements today professing the great impact on their lives. Considering the way that Johnson and Snyder run their teams it is no surprise.

Unfortunately, bringing in mostly free agents with a few draft picks doesn’t work in the NFL as it is all about hitting your draft picks with a few role playing free agents.

In the end, if NFL teams want to be the Yankees they have to find the formula that works in the NFL like Steinbrenner has in Major League Baseball.
