Players can Get Around InterviewsAccording to a recent interview with Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens on the Two Live Stews show National Football League spokesman Greg Aiello informed Owens that he has to do interviews.
There is a way though that will eventually stop the media making requests for you.
The National Football League mandates in the players policy manual that playes make themselves available to the media during interviews.
However, there is most likely nothing in the manual about what a player has to say to the media, because doing so would impede on a individual’s Freedom of Speech.
So, all that Owens has to say is no comment to whatever question that the media asks of him.
Eventually, the members of the media will just give up and go somewhere else for comments.
In the end the NFL is fighting a losing battle, because players like Owens always thinks up something else that they have no rules on.
