Donovan Who?

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb’s time with the team is coming to a close.

The reason is that backup quarterback Kevin Kolb is ready to take over.

The Eagles used a second round pick on Kolb in the 2007 National Football League Draft.

Kolb thoroughly knows the Eagles system after sitting two years on the bench behind quarterback Donovan McNabb.

Quarterbacks that sit on the bench for two years usually turnout to be successful NFL quarterbacks.

According to Philly.com, Kolb is the first in NFL history to throw for 300 yards passing in each of his first two starts.

Many people may write off the performance against the Kansas City Chiefs as the Chiefs are a bad football team.

However, people cannot write off Kolb’s performance against the New Orleans Saints as the Saints are proving to be solid on defense as well.

If Kolb perform well against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers it will mean the end of McNabb as a Eagle as they can move onto Kolb as a start, not miss a beat offensively, and get a high draft pick for McNabb.

In the end as the saying goes all good things must come to an end.
