Falcons’ Defense to Get Tested

Atlanta Falcons general manager Tom Dimitroff set off this past offseason to correct his defense.

This week the Falcons revamped defense gets tested as they face the New England Patriots this week.

The Falcons have two weaknesses, which they need to overcome if they are going to beat the Patriots.

First, they get no pass rush from left defensive end Jamaal Anderson has no sacks this season and had only two all of last year.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady mechanic’s get thrown off when he is pressured heavily.

Secondly. offenses can run on the Falcons as they have lost defensive tackle Peria Jerry for the year.

Last week to the Carolina Panthers the Falcons gave up 144 yards rushing on 25 carries, which is over five yards a carry.

In the end if the Falcons are going to win they are going to have to play their best game defensively.
