Will Teams Tame the Dolphin’s Wildcat?

The Miami Dolphins made the Wildcat offense the thing to copy in the National Football League last year.

Now, with a whole year of game film on the offense can teams tame the Wildcat?

Right now the offense is a gimmick that most likely will have run its course in a couple of years just like most gimmicks.

The reason being that teams catch on quickly to the weak points of a offense and then exploit it, thus forcing offenses to always be constantly changing.

This year the evolution of the Wildcat is going to have to be more passing, which we saw a glimpse of last year.

Some teams passed the ball out of the offense, but for the most part teams just used running plays out of it.

If teams do not start passing out of the formation just as much as running all teams will do is blitz and nullify it.

With the Dolphins outbox thinking on this they will most likely be the team that we will see the next evolution of the offense from.

In the end the Wildcat will be just as quickly over with as it rise to popularity, which means it will be pretty much gone except for a few short yardage downs.
