Chiefs Catch a Break
Kansas City Chief fans are holding thier breath as starting quarterback Matt Cassel went down with an injury in their preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks.
There is some hope for Cheif fans as their schedule favors them.
According to ProFootballTalk.com, the rumour going around is that Cassel has a sprained Medial Collateral Ligament and ankle.
If that is the case then Cassel will most likely miss a month of football.
If Cassel does miss more than that the Chiefs do catch a break as after week two of the regular season they play thier four NFC games in weeks three through six.
That means the Chiefs could lose all four of those games and still be in the playoff hunt as those games are not conference games, which is part of the tie breaker system for the playoffs.
In the end as long as the Chiefs win one of their first two games the Chiefs will be in good shape.
