Chiefs Should Be Competitive
The Kansas City Chiefs were in the basement of the AFC West last year with a 2-14 record.
This should change this year with the acquisitions that the Chiefs made should allow the team to compete with their division rivals.
Offensive the Chiefs added offensive linemen center Eric Ghiaciuc, guard Mike Goff, wide receivers Amani Toomer and Bobby Engram, along with their biggest move the trade for quarterback Matt Cassel.
The moves did not stop there as the defense saw its share of moves as they signed linebacker Zach Thomas and the trade for linebacker Mike Vrabel, along with the drafting of defensive end Tyson Jackson in the first round of this past April’s National Football League Draft.
In the end the Chiefs should be the AFC’s big turn around team, but that is ultimately dependent on the performance of quarterback Matt Cassel.
