Giants Talk Now Can They Walk
The New York Giants this offseason made two big splashes in signing defensive lineman Chris Canty and Rocky Bernard. The additions has already one player running his mouth, which now needs to be backed up.
The Giants opened their offseason program Monday, according to the New York Daily News defensive end Justin Tuck said, “The players here and the coaching staff. The experience, we have been there and done it. We know what it takes to get there. No one can deny that the team we had last year was headed that way until we got some injuries here and there along with distractions. On paper I think the team to beat is definitely us.”
It is common knowledge that players trash talk on the field. That sometimes carries off the field in this case.
The problem is that the Giants number one wide receiver Plaxico Burress is facing up to three years in jail for his incident last year. That would leave a huge void on the offense.
The fact of the matter is that the Giants lost last year, because they could not pass the ball without Burress.
If they do not find a replacement, or someone on the team steps up, the Giants will find themselves again exiting early from the playoffs again.
