Is Lynch a Victim?
Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch has been arrested on weapon charges. With details coming out of the arrest one has to ask is he really a victim?
Lynch was arrested on February 11th, and was subsequently released that nite a little after 7:00 pm after he bail was posted. The whole problem with the situation is that Lynch was neither pulled over for a traffic violation or an accident.
So, what was Lynch and two others doing in the Fox Hills neighborhood of Culver City? Simply, just sitting in their car.
It stinks of two police racially profiling him and his friends, because they were subsequently sitting in their car in an upscale neighborhood. So, apparently to these cops that spelled trouble.
Now, the question is would they have done the same if Lynch and his friends were white? Maybe or maybe not.
However, in light of the Rodney King beating in Los Angeles in the early 1990’s these two officers should not be given the benefit of the doubt, especially if Fox Hills is an upscale neighborhood.
