Kansas City Chiefs Make Thier First Move
The Kansas City Chiefs have been mulling over whether to start over at the head coaching position, or to keep head coach Herm Edwards. The Cheifs made their move firing Edwards and now the question is who will they bring in as head coach.
The Cheifs do not have many top young candidates left as many of them have already taken head coaching jobs elsewhere in the league. The last two left are Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett and Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator Todd Haley.
The Cheifs do have their pick of the top head coaches that are free agents as none of them have taken on jobs. Them being former Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan, former Seattle Seahawks head coach MIke Holmgren, former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher.
Whoever the head coach will be will ultimately relinquish control of personell decisions to new general manager Scott Pioli. If they are smart they will do just that as Pioli has a great system in finding team players that will come to play every day.
