Bills show up at halftime again

The Buffalo Bills have improved their record to 4-0, with a win over the Saint Louis Rams defeating them 31-14.  You would have not thought that was possible in the first half.

The Bills in the first half was just simply awful on defense, and offense.  Both teams were dominated in the first half.

Then just like the previous two weeks the Bills came to play.  Showing who the real team is by scoring 18 points in the fourth quarter.

Offensively, Edwards was 15-25 throwing 197 yards with one touchdown and one interception.  Edwards stats would be better if not for persistent deep fade routes being called by offensive coordinator Turk Schonert.

Schonert’s play calling in the first half was very questionable.  The offensive line was dominated by the Rams defensive line, especially the Bills Langston Walker who gave up four sacks in one half.

If Schonert simply called more short passing plays, then the defense would have most likely not given up so many rushing yards to Steven Jackson.

Many people will perceive that adjustments were made at halftime.  That is just a myth.

What happened is that the coaches ripped the players a new one.  Then they players woke up out of their shells, and came to play.

Still the Bills have not put a four quarter game together.  The four games that they have played were against inferior teams.

So, watch out AFC the Bills are the team to beat.
