Stroud makes a world of difference

The Buffalo Bills traded for defensive tackle Marcus Stroud to be the difference maker on the defensive line.  In just his first game he did just that.

Stroud has made a huge difference by just being there on the field with the Bills.  For evidence of that you have to look no further than fellow defensive tackle Kyle Williams.

Williams was horrible last year with the Bills.  The reason being that he was double teamed all the time by opponents.  This year that has completely changed.

With Stroud drawing the double team Williams has been able to go up against man on man blocking.  That is a world of a difference for a defensive tackle like Williams.

Williams is more of a quick penetrator, which the Bills drafted him for.  For some reason though he was used as the defensive tackle who draws double teams, and is stout against the run.

A player like Williams needs to be the tackle that goes up against a single blocker to be effective.  Williams proved that as he had one solo tackle two assists, and one and a half sacks, along with constantly being in the back field all day, as he drew man on man blocking, since Stroud was being doubled.

If the tandem keeps performing the way it did last sunday there are even going to be top notch offenses that will have trouble with the Bills this year.
