Browns better start praying

The Cleveland Browns have not been able to stop one thing, and that is its players from developing staff infections.  Now, the Browns have to hope that top wide receiver Braylon Edwards does not develop it.

Edwards suffered the injury on special teams practice.  Fellow teammate Donte Stallworth stepped on his foot.  For some reason Edwards was not wearing his cleats at the time.

What the hell was he thinking?!?!  You never take off your cleats for you are eventually going to get stepped on.

Now, the Browns have to worry about Edwards being out for a period of time with a staph infection.

They cannot afford to have this happen as they are already out of the services of wide receiver Joe  Jurervicius.  Jurevicius is out recovering from the staph infection he developed, and there is no expected time of return for him.

If Edwards is out for a period of time that means Josh Cribbs would be the person to fill in.  Cribbs is already looking for a new contract, so an decent production out of him means a huge pay day for him.

The reality is that if Edwards misses any significant amount of the season then the playoffs is most likely going to be out of reach.

The solution is simple for the Browns.  Send him somewhere else than you usually send players to go under the knife, or to get stiches from.
