What the future could possibly hold for Bills fans
With Buffallo Bills tackle Jason Peters holding out for the foreseeaable future many Bills fans are starting to wonder about the playoffs. What they need to be worrying about is the long term future.
Peters holding out into the regular season would not only spell disaster for the Bills this year, but into the near future.
The reason being is quarterback Trent Edwards. Edwards is simply a pocket passing quarterback, and no matter how good you are if you keep taking shots you will get hurt. Even Bills hall of fame quarterback Jim Kelly missed games in the playoffs due to injury.
So, what does it means is if Edwards gets hurt for a significant part of the season JP Losman will get another shot.
Then if the Losman finally gets, and becomes a franchise quarterback, the Bills would be in a huge spot if they do not get Evans done soon.
That would mean that after this year one of them is going to walk. It will not be Peters, since he is still under contract for two more years after this year. So, who would the Bill franchise tag, and keep.
Either way the Bills are screwed, but hey the only ones that did that is themselves.
So, in the end COO Russ Brandon better get moving, or he could find Bills owner Ralph Wilson’s shoe up his rear.
