What will happen this sunday

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

This sunday marks the return of the Miami Dolphins.  After a less than stellar performace by the Buffalo Bills, and only god himself will know what is going to happen.

The Dolphins have always been troublesome for the Bills.  The matter of the fact is that if quarterback Trent Edwrds does what he usually does, then do not expect the Dolphins to be a problem, especailly with Zack Thomas out.

Iff the Bills offense gets Marshawn Lynch back then it could be his first 100 yard game of the season.  Lychhas to be itching to get back in, especially with the playoffs in the balance.  That should be enough motivation for him to get into best mode.

The defense shoud have a field day.  Unless, Bills defensive corrdinator Perry Fewell decides to sit on his hands again.  They have a rookie quarterback in, and blitzing to take away the run should almost be common sense.

Fewell’s third down defense is theworst in the league, and why is that? Well the answer is easy, and that is he plays too much zone.

Everyone knows that Fewell is conservative.  Heck just look at the fact that there are very few safteym and corner blitzes, which every defense uses, except Fewell, to mess up the offense.

The fact of the matter is that if they rund the ball, and stop the run, consistently then the Bills will win a lot of remaining games, and might even make the playoffs.

Edwards proves he is a keeper

Sunday, December 2nd, 2007

Trent Edwards returned to the starting lineup today againts the Washington Redskins.  Eventhough he looked rusty, and out of sync, he proved today why he will be the next Buffal Bills franchise quarterback for a longtime to come.

In only his fourth start, and fifth game he played in, Edwards has already thrown for over 200 yards passing, and has lead a fourth quarter comeback.  Something that JP Losman did not accomplish until last year, which was his third season.

Edwards is football savvy, and has the inteligence of a rocket scientist when it comes to football.  Already the coaching staff has entrusted him with audibles, and he is only a rookie.

Coach Cattolico was right about Edawrds arm, it is very stong and deadly accurate.  With less than a minute left, and the defense in prevent mode Edwards completed a pass to Josh Reed.

Edwards knew that he would have a small window between the deep saftey, and the linebacker dropping back into coverage.  Still with that in mind he completed a pass right on the money to Josh Reed.

The drive brought back memories of the gory days.  The late comebacks by both Jim Kelly and backup quarterback Frank Reich.

The odds were stacked against Edwards.  The death of Sean Taylor, a road game, outstanding coaches, and bad weather.  However, he proved why his time at Los Gatos highschool was invaluable as he beleived in himself and his team, and found a way to win.

Only great quarterbacks and geat players find ways to win when they are not looking that great.  Finally, the Bills have one at the quarteback position.

Playoff lives hand in the balance

Saturday, December 1st, 2007

This weekend two 5-6 teams will clash this weekend.  On the line is the playoffs as the loser is most likely eliminated for sure from the playoffs as the best record they will be able to get will be 9-7.

The Buffalo Bills will be hard pressed to be able to get into the playoffs, since they lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are looking for a wild card spot.  That is due in part that they are still one game behind one game to division leader Indiapolis Colts.

That mean that the other wild card spot in the AFC will go to someone that is 10-6. A 9-7 team is highly unlikely to get ino the playoffs.

The Bills will be hard pressed to get a win, especially with what has transpired with the Washington Redskins.  They will be emotionally chared.

They know that their slain teammate would have wanted it that way. For that reason they will give everything they got.

TOday is the day that the Bills better br prepard for what is in front of them.
