Bills GM opening could hurt Patriots
Sunday, December 30th, 2007Marv Lecy’s departure was very unexpected, considering the job he did in the past two drafts was excellent. However, it may not be a bad thing if the Buffalo Bills were to hire someone from the New England Patriots.
Pro Football Talk.com is reporting that the Patriots director of college scouting Tom Dimitroff is on the list of possible general managers. That would be a good fit considering multiple factors.
First, the Bills would be hurting the Patritos collge scouting, and thus endanger their future. Secondly, the Patriots have a system in place similar to the Bills. That being the draft the most important part, with free agency being a minor part. Finally, he also brings in the expereince of being a part of a Superbowl winning organiation, and knows what it takes to win.
There are some other people out there, but they are just retreds that have been cast aside. They are out there for a simple reason alone, and that being they cannot get it done.
Dimitroff is the best candidate here, and the Bills should just let him clean house. That includes everyone on thee coaching staff if felt necessary.
