The Buffalo Bills have pulled of a rare fourth quarter comeback. That still will not save JP Losman’s spot as the future of the franchise.
Losman’s first half performance was the absolute worst of his career. It was so bad that a rookie quarterback could have done no worst than Losman.
With the standard being the New England’s Tom Brady there is not a shadow of a doubt that Losman is not the future of the franchise. Especially, with the lack of consistency that Losman provides.
Against any good National Footall League team the game would have been over by half time. Fortunately, the Dolphins were the Bills opponent, and they definately do not know how to win.
Good quartebacks thrive against teams like this, and pad thier stats. Average quarterbacks allow decent defenses to stop him.
The thing that bugs me the most is that the Dolphins befuddled JP Losman still in the second half, and that is with out Jason Taylor in the second half.
The one main problem that Losman has is his inability to check down to runningbacks, and audibling into better plays. The biggest example of that is on a 3-1 the Dolphins had loaded up their defense where the Bills were going to run the ball, and still they ran the ball right there.
With that said one has to wonder what the heck is going on with the audibles. The coaching staff in the preseason said Losman would be allowed to do that. However, Losmans body language at the line of scrimmage shows no signs of that being true.
Now it could be that the coaching staff has allowed Losman to do that, but Losman just does not. Whatever the case may be it does not bode well for Losman.
Marshawn Lynch had three catches yesterday, but with the way he was playing, and what the Dolphins were giving him he easily could have had somewhere between five to ten catches.
Also, it does not help that he has some how lost his running ability. At some point in time you have to pull it down and run. Heck even Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Rothlesberger had a running TD.
There are so many things that Losman could have utilized, but in the end he did not.
It does not help that tight end Michael Gaines dropped a sure touchdown, but still Losmans performance showed that he will not be the quarterback to take the Bills to the promise land.
